All are welcome at the Burlington Cohousing Open Jam Session every second Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. This is an easygoing, beginner-friendly jam. The focus is Celtic, Québécois, American, Canadian, and world fiddle tunes suitable for contra dances. Newcomers and beginners are always welcome – no need to call ahead, just show up.

This is an instrumental Jam for Fiddles, Guitars, Mandolins, Banjos, Woodwinds, Dulcimers, and any other acoustic instrument. Feel free to bring sheet music of your favorite tunes; we also will have some sheet music available. We play “round-robin” style – everyone gets a chance to request a tune and set the tempo. If you use sheet music and have a music stand, it’d be good to bring it.
